Owner, Certified Child Care Director of Infant/Toddlers, Discovery Preschool, School Aged and Lead Discovery Preschool Teacher

Welcome! To Palmer’s Heavenly Hearts Early Learning Center LLC. I love my chosen profession and believe that there is no greater feeling than knowing that you aided in the learning and growth of a child. What I enjoy most is seeing the expression of a child who has just discovered something new and wonderful for the first time. There is nothing better than when they are able to perform a new skill without assistance for the first time.

I have been caring for children for 20 years; first caring for my own children Elijah 20, Serenity 17 and Jasiah 11, and working with pre-k students as an Instructional Assistant at Easton Elementary School for 4-years. Then I left the school system as I couldn't find infant care for my youngest son at the time so I decided to opened my own in home childcare center in 2015, then my home center grew to a large in home childcare center caring for 12 kids and soon after expanded into my center based location in October of 2023. I also have some background knowledge of special education as well as my son Elijah has Cerebral Palsy so caring for kids with special needs also holds a place in my heart.

I’m married to my wonderful husband Thomas who is my greatest supporter of my daycare journey and who is our Marketing and Operations Manager here at Palmer's Heavenly Hearts Early Learning Center. I grew up in Talbot County and educated within the Talbot County public school system. I have my Associates Degree in Health Services Administration, my Bachelor’s degree Interdisciplinary Studies.  I also hold childcare certifications from Howard Community College in the areas of Director of Childcare, Infant and Toddler Growth and Development and Methods and Materials, Preschool Methods and Materials for Lead teacher and Methods and Materials for School Age children. Along, with well over 120 hours of course work in the field of child development. About to pursue my Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education. I strive to improve the quality of the services I provide to my clients as a Professional Early Educator by staying current on childcare laws and regulations, advocating for early childhood education, and learning new, exciting, and stimulating teaching methods and activities.

Working with families and their children helped me to create a partnership that works. My commitment to early childhood education and partnerships with families and children is my driving force to continue to do what I do. As we are a place where little hearts blossom and dreams take flight!
